THE cost of industrial space is growing more slowly in Ireland than elsewhere, latest figures from Lisney show. Irish industrial rents increased by just 2.6% in 2006 to EU118 per sqm.
Industrial property rents have been rising more than twice as quickly across the world, with prime rents increasing by 6.5% globally, according to a new report by Lisney's international partners Cushman & Wakefield.
As a result, Dublin has dropped from 3rd to 5th most expensive location in the world for occupiers of industrial space.
London Heathrow remains the world's most expensive industrial location with total occupancy costs of EU252 per sqm.
