Moody's Investors Service today commented on the ratings of Suez (A2, under review for upgrade), Electrabel (A2, under review for upgrade) and Gaz de France ("GdF", Aa1 under review for downgrade), following the recent announcement by the three companies of their 2006 results. Moody's has also taken the opportunity to provide an update on the proposed merger between Suez and GdF on the back of these results. In 2006, Suez recorded revenues of EUR44.3 billion (+ 6.7% vs. 2005) and EBITDA of EUR7.1 billion (+ 8.8% vs. 2005).
