Article: Son offers reward in solving couple's slaying.

Byline: Jeff Long

Mar. 28--The son of a Cary-area man who was found slain along with his wife in their home in November today offered a $25,000 reward for information in the case.

Nicholas Romano offered the reward after a McHenry County coroner's jury ruled the deaths of his father, Nick Romano, 71, and his stepmother, Gloria Romano, 65, homicides.

"We did everything together," the son said as he left the inquest, referring to his father. "I worked for him for almost 30 years. Any time he needed me, I was there for him. We talked to each other every day. I went out to breakfast with him every weekend. We had dinner every Wednesday."
