Almost six years later, people still talk about "the home run" that Nate Nelson smashed over the left field fence at Tivnan Field when he was a junior at Holy Name. The blast was estimated to have traveled 465-480 feet, and many longtime Lake-goers have said it was the longest home run ever hit at Tivnan Field.
Nelson, who graduated from Holy Name in 2002, is playing his first season with Worcester State this spring and still packing the power.
