RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Sixty-six percent of all pharmaceutical product commercialization dollars spent from pre- clinical development through Phase 2 are allocated to Phase 2 marketing programs, according to a new report from business intelligence leader Cutting Edge Information (http://www.earlystagemarketing.com/).
The report, "Early-Stage Pharmaceutical Marketing Budgets: Preparing for Product Launch," shows that only 20% of early-stage budgets is used during Phase 1 and even less, 14%, is used during pre-clinical development.
