CLEWISTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1995--Two firms, which will support more than 500 jobs in the Glades area, are preparing to open at former South Bay Growers facilities as U.S. Sugar Corporation intensifies efforts to rejuvenate economic activity in The City of South Bay.
J. Nelson Fairbanks, president and CEO of U.S. Sugar, today announced that South Bay Growers packinghouse will reopen with a sweet corn and vegetable distribution business, and that the former South Bay central warehouse building has been sold and will become a sugar cane mechanical harvester assembly plant.
