While officials at many companies cite factors such as a diverse global economy or their own brilliant strategies for spurring business growth, Christopher Bailey's assessment is a tad simpler.
"We make good welders,'' said the general manager of Lincoln Electric Co's automation division.
The trend of industrial companies looking to become more automated is spurring a $42 million expansion at Euclid-based Lincoln. To keep up with growing demand for its robotic arc welders, the company is consolidating its automation division into a new space three times larger than the 40,000-square-foot space it now occupies.
