SAN FRANCISCO _ Barry Zito made his final tuneup of the spring Thursday and looked every bit the part of the Giants' new ace.
In his first Bay Area appearance in a black and orange uniform, Zito pitched six shutout innings and retired 10 of the final 12 batters he faced in the Giants' 4-0 exhibition victory over the Seattle Mariners at AT&T Park.
The Giants, who broke camp in Arizona on Wednesday, conclude the exhibition schedule during the weekend with three games against the A's.
