CHICAGO -- Fitch Ratings rates La Hipotecaria Panamanian Mortgage Trust series 2007-1 certificates 'AAA'. The series 2007-1 certificates benefit from a full financial guarantee provided by XL Capital Assurance Inc. (XL), rated 'AAA' by Fitch. La Hipotecaria Panamanian Mortgage Trust series 2007-1 bought a portion of the series A notes issued by La Hipotecaria Eight Mortgage Backed Notes Trust (Panamanian Trust). The underlying rating assigned by Fitch to the series A notes is 'BBB'.
Fitch's rating addresses the likelihood of timely payment of interest and ultimate payment of principal by the final scheduled distribution payment date for the senior notes. The ...
