Little Ryan just doesn't understand why he can't climb on his mom's lap when he visits his partially paralyzed mother in a nursing facility where 33-year-old Jennifer Davis receives care for the debilitating disease neurofibromatosis.
Davis, a Streamwood resident who suffers from the malady that causes painful tumors to grow, wants nothing more than to be a mommy to Ryan, 6, and her other children Courtney, 11, Brianna, 10, and Stephen, 8.
Recent surgery to remove an 18-by-6-inch tumor that lay partially on her spine left Davis paralyzed from the waist to her feet. Doctors described the tumor ...
