Mar. 30--I sent the kid back downstairs again. Didn't like some of his predictions for the 2007 baseball season. Thought they needed "some work."

It occurs to me, not for the first time, that I'm an idiot.

I never have been right or even close to being right on predictions. You know this if you're a regular reader of the Tribune sports section. You saw me pick the Cubs to win their division in 2006. You saw the Cubs finish last in their division in 2006.
