Environmental Watchdog to inspect Sakhalin-1 project
Moscow, Mar 30 (PTI) Russian environmental watchdog Rosprirodnadzor will inspect the energy project Sakhalin-1 in which India's ONGC has a 20 per cent stake, to investigate its compliance with environmental legislations and mineral laws.
"Following documentation checks, commission members will inspect all Sakhalin-1 facilities from oil wells to oil terminals," Pyotr Titkov, head of the watchdog's commission that is conducting the inspection, was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
