Mar. 31--COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Members of the Texas A&M System Board of Regents expressed confidence that the enhancements they approved for men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie's contract Friday would keep him an Aggie. But they acknowledged there's no guarantee Gillispie will stay.
Gillispie received a raise of $500,000, a three-year extension and a second retention bonus. He'll make $1.75 million annually, with the deal going through 2015.
Gillispie would earn a bonus of $1 million in 2012, then another of $750,000 in 2015.
As before, the contract doesn't include a buyout clause on Gillispie's end, ...
