Apr. 1--CEDAR FALLS -- Every night, when Heath Flynn tucked her four children into bed for the evening, she told them good night.
She would say it to her daughter, Kirstyn, the oldest. And to her sons, Cassian, Carrick and Connor. And she told them she would see them in the morning.
Then she would say a private good night to Scott Simon, the son she had to give up for adoption years earlier when she was 17 years old in Northern Ireland.
Scott Simon's good night was always different. Flynn never promised to greet him in the morning. She hadn't seen him since the infant was handed to a pair of nuns.
