Apr. 2--ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Michael Young is not given to big, broad pronouncements. On Sunday, given a chance to go down in the ever-expanding annals of athletes who guaranteed a win/pennant/championship, he said: "I don't roll that way." Usually he doesn't. And that's what makes the following anecdote so much more telling: In the final week of spring training, Young was at his locker doing nothing in particular when Ian Kinsler, socks pulled high, slight whistled-induced pucker to his lips, walked by on his way back from working in the batting cages. "That kid," Young said, "is going to be an All-Star this year." Pretty lofty ...
