Niro Hudson Inc. is building a new liquid-processing pilot plant at its headquarters in Hudson, Wis., that will provide a key role in helping processor develop new products.
"We feel that the industry needs a facility specifically dedicated to liquid processing and spray drying of dairy foods products," says President Carl Dyrbye.
The pilot plant, which will cost well over a million dollars, is scheduled for completion by the end of October. It will be equipped with a variety of membran filtration and spray drying systems, as well as milling and powder packaging equipment.
