At the beginning of the film "Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience," a beefy, crew-cut Air Force sergeant named Edward "Parker" Gyokeres appears on camera and says, "There's no reason why the little guy can't tell the story. There's no reason why the guy at the bottom of the food chain doesn't have as much to say as the guy at the top of the food chain."
This film gives the guys at the bottom of the food chain that chance.
