PAWNEE -- Third District Congressman Frank Lucas sounded less than optimistic Tuesday about prospects for a farm bill this year, suggesting that an extension of the current agriculture program might be the best that can be hoped for. "If we don't have enough money for a good farm bill to address the whole package, I'm going to advocate . . . that we report back to the leadership that we can't pass a bill and ask to extend the current bill," Lucas said during a town hall meeting in Pawnee's City Hall.
