Article: Get happy with nutrient-dense.(letters)(Letter to the editor)

SIR; Congratulations, The Editor's Pick in your Weigh it Up! campaign is spot on ('Puzzle solved? The alternatives', The Grocer, 10 March, p39). However, I do not see why whole grains score badly in the Naturally Nutrient Rich Index.

If plant and animal breeders since the Second World War had concentrated on nutrient richness, not volume and shelf appearance etc, then we would have much more nutrient-rich food.
