People like to laugh at the National League Central Division. Go ahead, insert punch line here.
All the "weak" NL Central did last year is produce the world champion St. Louis Cardinals. The Houston Astros represented the NL in the 2005 World Series. Theirs was no disgrace in falling to the White Sox.
In 2004, the Cardinals started a three-year run of NL Central teams in the World Series. Never mind that they fell to the Red Sox. The Cards still got there. And they may get there again this year.
When it comes to the NL Central, the classic Who song, "Won't Get Fooled Again," readily comes to mind.
