SAN FRANCISCO, April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) will present its Haridas and Bina Chaudhuri Award for Distinguished Service to internationally renowned Indian classical musician Ali Akbar Khan at a gala dinner on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Gaylord India Restaurant in Sausalito, California.
Mr. Khan is being honored by the San Francisco-based institute of higher education founded 38 years ago by Indian scholar Haridas Chaudhuri and his wife, Bina, for nurturing and fostering a worldwide appreciation for classical Indian music.
