Apr. 8--Appearances by the Goins Brothers have been rare in recent years.
But Melvin and Ray Goins, whose careers in bluegrass date back more than half a century, will be appearing at the International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro this month for the second consecutive year.
And the West Virginia natives will be debuting Part II of their video oral history project -- "The Funniest Thing."
That's one part more than most bands get.
The video project is an ambitious effort by the museum to produce documentaries on 232 musicians who were performing bluegrass on at least a regional level before 1954.
