Apr. 8--For more than 20 years, the town of La Salle has used the baseball fields east of the railroad tracks for town use. On Tuesday, updates will be given about the town's intent to buy the land from Union Pacific Railroad. "We got a GOCO grant of $161,000 to purchase the land," said Brad Sorenson, town clerk. "We're just giving an update on all the paperwork that needs to come in before we can set a closing date."
