BOYLSTON - The balmy breeze, hint of warm earth and sprouting buds weren't an April Fools joke for the 700 or so garden enthusiasts who visited Tower Hill Botanic Garden's spring open house on April 1. It was a perfect day to welcome the season and celebrate Tower Hill's 21st birthday as the home of the venerable Worcester County Horticultural Society.
The open house featured free admission; a woodwind performance by Flora Musica; a gallery reception for marine botanical artists Eva K. and Daniel W. Barstow of Stow, whose "Ocean Gardens" exhibit, a modern look at the ancient art of preserving seaweed, is on display in the visitors ...
