Australia's tea tree industry has demanded the retraction of an article in the New England Journal of Medicine that links lavender and tea tree oil to breast growth in young boys.
The Australian Tea Tree Industry Association (ATTIA) challenges the methodology in the report and claims its conclusions are "not supported by science".
In an official response to the article, which was published last month, ATTIA said the report caused unwarranted alarm and commercial damage around the world.
