Diabetes could be in your future. Half of Americans are currently at risk for type 2 diabetes; if you're overweight, you could be among them. New projections by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warn that the prevalence of type 2 diabetes could double by the year 2050, unless people make lifestyle changes. More than 16 million people in the United States currently have type 2 diabetes.
