The Marine Corps will do whatever it needs to do, including taking money from current programs, to get the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles to deployed troops sooner than later, said the commandant of the Marine Corps.

MRAP will protect Marines and sailors in theater 400 percent more effectively against the same blast than an Up Armored Humvee, Gen. James Conway said at a Defense Writers Group breakfast Wednesday.
