CHINA'S TIANJIN PORT SEES RECORD THROUGHPUT IN 1ST QUARTER
TIANJIN - Tianjin port handled 72.835 million tons of cargo and 1.565 million TEU (twenty foot equivalent units) of containers in the first three months of 2007, rising 21 per cent and 27.6 per cent year on year respectively, both hitting record highs.
The port aims to handle 280 million tons of cargo and 7.1 million TEU of containers for the whole of 2007.
