CINCINNATI - The Cubs had to term it something, so they came up with "right-shoulder fatigue" as the reason they put pitcher Mark Prior on the disabled list at their Class AAA Iowa farm club.
Prior was optioned to Iowa last week because the Cubs want him to regain his command and velocity. Even though his 2006 season was cut short because of shoulder problems, he insisted to the end that he was healthy.
Prior was not listed on an Iowa roster that came out earlier this week, and the Cubs said he was going to remain in Arizona for extended spring training. They didn't say anything about the DL, but ...
