Apr. 9--Gilbert's Patterson Elementary School chorus has been invited to participate in the National Anthem Project on Flag Day in Washington, D.C., and are seeking donations to help get there.
Choirs from schools and organizations from around the country will gather on June 14 -- Flag Day -- at the Washington Monument to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" and other patriotic songs with the U.S. Marine Corps Band.
The following day, school groups will perform at monuments, memorials and other venues throughout the area.
