Apr. 10--Two Democrats with some similar goals, including preserving open space and improving Walking Purchase Park, are running for Salisbury commissioner in the township's First Ward.
John Eberhard is running against incumbent Bob Martucci, who was appointed commissioner in January 2006.
Martucci is completing the term of Glenn Eckhart, who resigned after being elected Lehigh County commissioner in November 2005. Eberhard was one of three other candidates hoping to be appointed to Eckhart's seat.
Now Eberhard and Martucci are running for a full four-year term. The winner of the May primary faces no Republican ...
