Slovak industrial output up 15.5% y/y in February - statistical office
PRAGUE. APRIL 10. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Slovak industrial output grew by 15.5% in February year-on-year (y/y), with increased output in the manufacturing sector the driving force, the Slovak Statistical Office (SUSR) said Tuesday, citing preliminary results.
"The manufacture of transport equipment doubled [while] the manufacture of metal and metal products grew by 20.5% y/y," the SUSR said.
"Over the first two months [of 2007] industrial output grew by 16.6 % y/y [and] by 22.6 % in the manufacturing sector. It has decreased by 12.6 % y/y in electricity, gas and water ...
