Companies that survived American producers ducking the strong loonie, government ministry shuffles, and plain bad weather, are now facing a national actors' strike. And the fallout could be disastrous for the province's film industry, insiders say.

Canadian feature film productions had already fallen 31 per cent in 2004-2005, according to the Canadian Film and Television Production Association. Foreign location shooting dropped 23 per cent, and international treaty co-productions ...
