Apr. 10--Postseason awards have poured in for basketball stars Krystal Thomas of The First Academy and Nick Calathes of Lake Howell. They got to meet on a flight to Louisville to play in the nationally televised McDonald's All American High School doubleheader, and then followed each other onto the pages of Parade magazine's All-America teams.
But good news never gets old, and both said receiving the highest honor passed out for Florida high school hoops will have its own special meaning. Thomas will become the first Orlando-area girl to win the Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Basketball award today at 2:30 p.m. in a presentation ...
