Apr. 10--Nurseries are grappling with inventory damaged by the unseasonably cold weather. Low temperatures have damaged the appearance and viability of some plants, said Jerry Fultz, general manager of Acorn Farms, a 700-acre wholesale business in Galena. Consumers are less eager to buy plants that don't look good, and plants being shipped to retail locations likely will have a poor appearance for three to four weeks, Fultz said.
