Apr. 11--Pam Gennardo wants children moving. Motivating children and their families to become active is the primary goal of YMCA's national Healthy Kids Day. "The basic concept is get up, get out and move," said Gennardo, Owasso Family YMCA membership director. "Healthy Kids Day is an annual event that Y's across the nation host to promote healthy lifestyles among our youth." Branches of the YMCA of Greater Tulsa will host activities for children and their families Saturday. Activities at the Owasso branch include a walking clinic, family fun fitness demonstration, inflatable climbing wall and a jump rope contest.
