Apr. 11--Jane Grote Abell began working for her dad by taking customer orders when she was 11. Now, she's president of the company.
Donatos said yesterday that Abell, 40, has assumed the day-to-day leadership of the Gahanna-based pizza chain, which has 135 company-owned stores and 40 franchised units in six states. Her father, Jim Grote, 63, who began the family business on the South Side in 1963, will continue as CEO and chairman, focusing on Donatos' food and pizza-industry innovations.
