Apr. 12--If pressed to pick the one driver most looking forward to NASCAR's premier series returning to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, Tony Stewart would be the choice.
Stewart smothered the field in the last Cup race at the 1.5-mile track last November, leading 278 laps of a race extended from 334 laps to 339 by a late caution fl ag. The only other driver to lead more than five laps was Kurt Busch, who led all 37 laps from 5-41.
"In 28 years of racing, it is rare that I've had a car that good," Stewart said. "We could get a straightaway lead at any time."
