Apr. 13--Walter Mondale has some advice for President Bush in case he's listening: Restore the constitutional checks and balances in government that have eroded in recent years. "I would argue that it is in the president's best interest to take my interpretation of the law, because just take this U.S. attorneys issue now," the former U.S. vice president said on the Kansas University campus Thursday night.
