NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1995--The Brazilian Equity Fund, Inc. (NYSE:BZL) a closed-end non-diversified management investment company that seeks long-term capital appreciation through investing primarily in Brazilian equity securities, today announced unaudited results and its portfolio holdings for the quarter and nine months ended Dec. 31, 1994.

After deduction of underwriting commissions and offering costs, the Fund began operations on April 10, 1992 with a net asset value (NAV) of $13.79 per share.
