LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 1995--Wildfire Communications Inc. announced Monday that McCaw Cellular Communications Inc., a division of AT&T, has invested $5 million as part of Wildfire's $7.3 million third-round financing.

In a separate transaction, McCaw has purchased the first of two Wildfire systems for early trials.

Wildfire Communications announced in October 1994 the first telephone-based electronic assistant that interacts with users through natural voice commands. The Wildfire Assistant coordinates all of a professional's daily telephone communications in much the same way a secretary once did.
