Apr. 14--Sister Christine Ereiser has been elected the next prioress of St. Joseph Monastery, 2200 S. Lewis Ave., a community of Benedictine nuns. She will replace Sister Barbara Austin, who completes her term as prioress on July 1. In a Benedictine community, the prioress is spiritual leader and also president of the corporation. "I am deeply blessed by this responsibility," Ereiser said. "Monastic life has experienced a great deal of change in the last 50 years.
