PARK RIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 23, 1995--Sony Electronics today announced the formation of the Sony Wireless Telecommunications Company, a new integrated organization in the United States that will design, manufacture and market wireless telecommunications products for the American market.

Initial product offerings will include digital and analog cellular telephones. Products based on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology are currently being developed and will be manufactured through QUALCOMM Personal Electronics, a joint venture between Sony Electronics and QUALCOMM Incorporated.
