BOSTON - There's only one thing harder than winning the Boston Marathon, and that's winning it two straight years.

When Robert Cheruiyot steps to the starting line in Hopkinton on Monday for the 111th rendition of the world's oldest annual marathon he will be trying to become the first repeat male champion here in 12 years and just the fourth runner to do so in the last three decades.
