FOXBORO - No one has scored more goals for the U.S. women's soccer team than Mia Hamm. But no one has scored them at a faster clip than Abby Wambach.
Hamm averaged a goal every 130 minutes during an illustrious, 18-year career with the national team. She retired in 2004 as the sport's all-time leader with 158 tallies.
That mark still stands, although Wambach is rapidly mounting a challenge. The 5-foot-11 striker has averaged a goal every 94 minutes since first suiting up for Uncle Sam in 2001.
