Vibo Corporation, operating as General Tobacco, makes $100 million payment to the Master Settlement Agreement
MIAMI -- General Tobacco (GT) announced today its largest payment to date of $100 million to the Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) as part of its commitment to the multi-state agreement by tobacco companies setting forth strict guidelines for tobacco marketing and advertising, as well as the finance of a $1.5 billion dollar anti-smoking education campaign. GT has contributed approximately $375 million, including today's payment, since joining the MSA in 2004.
