It was an eventful Wednesday for the Oregon men's basketball team.
In addition to the announcement of a new contract for UO coach Ernie Kent (story, Page A1), the Ducks lost an assistant coach with Scott Duncan's hiring by UCLA while finding out they will retain a player who figures to be very important for next season.
`I was pretty sure at the end of the year that I'd be back,' Malik Hairston said. `Now I can say it, I'll definitely be back.'
