Apr. 19--Eddie Sutton brokered the new five-year commitment to the banquet. The Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete Awards will be accompanied by a swoosh. Shoe and apparel giant Nike has agreed to become a sponsor of the Iba Awards and has pledged a $20,000 commitment for each of the next five years, announced Oral Roberts University basketball coach Scott Sutton during a Wednesday meeting of the Rotary Club of Tulsa. The Iba Awards, presented by the Rotary Club of Tulsa, are given each year to a male and female athlete who excel in their sport and who show, by their actions, a desire to help others.
