IBM recently chose SalesTrack, a field sales automation application for notebook PCs from Aurum Software, Santa Clara, Calif., as a core technology for its sales force automation (SFA) offering Aurum has a "strong emphasis on trying to keep an open architecture for development purposes, and from day me they made the source code available," said Will Kenlaw, business unit executive of IBM's Sales Force Transformation team.
