Apr. 19--A kayak competition originally scheduled for this weekend in Pueblo has been postponed until May 12 because there wouldn't have been enough water in the river. "I understand they're not releasing water, but I just don't understand why the city asks us for dates when there is nothing they can do or will do about it," said Bob Walker, president of Pueblo Paddlers and owner of a local kayak supply store.
The group planned to hold its second annual Icebreaker at the Pueblo Whitewater Park on Saturday, an event timed to attract kayakers before spring runoff. Because of a lack of water, the Icebreaker was moved to May 12, ...
